Boot Camp Training Programs
Our Boot Camp programs are customized training plans designed specifically for your dog. We believe a happy dog is one that clearly understands how to communicate with its humans. Strong communication builds a strong relationship, obedience, and reliability—through clear understanding of commands and expectations. What we do here is teach your dog these essential skills, while also teaching you how to build a stronger bond with your dog and properly use the commands and tools your dog has learned for clear communication and a happier life together.
How does it work?
You drop your dog off at our kennel, and typically pick them up about 4 weeks later as a more confident, well-mannered, and obedient companion. We evaluate your dog’s behavior, personality, and specific challenges together with you, then build a training program tailored to your goals and needs. Program length varies depending on the level of training required. Foundation programs are typically 4 weeks, while behavior modification or more severe issues may require additional time.

Owner involvement & follow-up
This is an intensive, hands-on training program designed for both the dog and the owner. While we train your dog, you will also learn how to maintain and build on the results we achieve together. When you pick up your dog, we will go through everything in detail—both verbally and hands-on—so you fully understand how to continue your dog’s progress at home. You will also receive training videos and guidance for ongoing success. We provide continued support after graduation and follow up as needed. Each client receives three private follow-up sessions a few weeks after completion if additional support is required.
Our goal is to ensure every member of your family has full confidence and control of your dog in real-life situations. In some cases, training may include a combination of board-and-train work at our facility and in-home sessions for better real-world transfer.
Sully and Kate from Virginia Beach:
"I brought my Frenchie to Sharon for help with aggressive behaviors, biting, and difficulty tolerating being pet and handled. I had done obedience classes, worked with a private local trainer, and did inboard training for 4 weeks without any success and the frequency of these behaviors continued to get worse. Three weeks with Sharon finally made a significant difference! It’s definitely in part genetics and his personality so he will never have 100% improvement, however Sharon gave me realistic expectations from the start that it may be about managing his behaviors and they may not be completely resolved. Sharon is an out of the box thinker and came up with creative solutions to help figure out how to address his specific issues. The big difference for me was that she gave me specific individualized feedback for my dog and on picking him up trained me on how to work with him and do things in a way he had learned to tolerate with her. She also gave me ways to adjust his environment and routine at home. He’s been home with me for months now and I’ve continued with all his homework daily. Although he is not perfect the frequency of these behaviors is significantly less now. One of my biggest problems with previous trainers is I felt I didn’t know how to react in situations when he was reactive to convey his behavior was unacceptable. Now I feel I know what to do if he acts this way. I can absolutely recommend Sharon and can't thank her enough for his improvement. She continues to check in and answer questions even after your follow up sessions!"
Waylon's owner, Carrie, from Pennsylvania, said on her FB page:
"I am so happy to finally be able to make this post! We just received the last score from AKC and I am proud to announce that Waylon has earned his Virtual Companion Dog obedience title! This gives him the final requirement to receive the Working Dog Supreme title, which is the highest level offered by the Mastiff Club of America!
I have to give credit where credit is due, and I can't possibly thank my friend Sharon Sintra enough for all of the hard work she put in to this for me! I simply don't have the time or the discipline to train for competitive obedience and she is an AMAZING trainer. When I asked her if she could get his CD for me, she told me definitely, and it would take 2-3 months or so. She and WayWay worked so well together that I was able to pick him up exactly 3 *WEEKS* later with all of his videos recorded to submit for his CD-V. Thank you so much, Sharon! This wouldn't have happened without you!
Sharon & Waylon received scores of 190, 190, and 193.5 points (out of a possible 200) on their 3 runs."
