The Process…
To ensure the best match for puppy placement with forever families, there are a few simple steps we ask you to follow. These important elements have repeatedly proven to lead to successful partnerships for you and your new family member. We will develop a relationship and discuss everything ahead of time before you get your puppy, in order to help you prepare for your new addition. To get started, follow the steps below:

1. Puppy Application – The Puppy Application includes basic questions pertaining to your current living situation, previous pet ownership, and overall abilities to care for a dog. The answers you provide will be used to initiate our discussions and serve as a working template moving forward. You can find the Puppy Application here.

2. Initial Contact – Once we receive your completed Puppy Application, we will contact you by phone or email to discuss the needs and expectations you have for your future dog. The more we know about your lifestyle, the better we are able to match the puppy with the right temperament.

3. Arrange a Meeting - After we discuss your wants and needs, we will invite you and your family to come visit our dogs and meet us. This is something we require. When planning our meeting, please set aside time to spend an hour or more at our farm. You will get to meet all of the dogs and see their temperaments. If you are out of state and would like to fly here, then we can arrange to pick you up from Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Airport. We will also bring you back to the airport happy and covered in slobber 😊. It is very important that you feel comfortable with us as our relationship will continue throughout the life of your dog (and beyond). If you have any questions or require advice, then we want you to feel confident that you can contact us at any time.
4. Contract Review – After we have gotten to know one another, we will review the contract together. Once the terms are understood and accepted , we will move forward with putting you on our waiting list.

We health test, temperament test, and work all our dogs we use in the program with very strict selection process. If you are here on our website, you probably already researched who we are, but if not, please don't hesitate to do so. The information is public and available online as well social media.
We have a private Facebook group for Ivy League family members. Everyone is encouraged to help each other and share in the achievements (or daily blunders) of their pets. Many of our dogs are in different states, so you may have someone close to you to meet and visit.
We are active in a variety of different sports. We provide discounted training classes, boarding, and grooming services for all of the Cane Corsos that we produce. You can always bring your dog for
boarding when going on vacation. We can work, train, and love on them while you are away.
Ivy League provides lifetime support, health guarantees, and temperament matching for all dogs.

Who will make a good
cane corso owner
If you have already done some research on this breed, you may notice the variety of different looks... The same is goes for temperament. While we should always strive for more consistency, in reality, this is where we stand currently as a breed, looks and temperament are all over the place. Correct type (looks), health, and temperament are all equally important. We all want a good looking dog, but what will you do with a pretty dog with a bad temperament? Temperament is genetic and as a professional, all-breed trainer, temperament and biddability is the most important trait in our program and something we proudly guarantee.
For past 15 years, we been selecting dogs that pass extensive testing, training, and are proven to have a good head on their shoulders. Proof of this is in our long list of titles and awards as well dogs that successfully work as patrol dogs in the K9 unit. Please take a look at our "Achievements" page.
Puppies get worked daily since birth and exposed to as many possible situations, sounds, animals, kids, terrains, and so on, and puppies are temperament tested at 7 weeks old. Puppies are raised by our pack, not only by their mother and have proper canine social skills right from the start. The majority of our dogs are placed in homes with kids, many have welcomed newborns, and not once has there been a dog/kid relationship issue. We would not tolerate that in our program. We breed for a solid companion/family dog with abilities to perform variety of tasks. Our dogs are not lazy and do require proper mental and physical stimulation.
